Greece

Where every journey becomes a story

Discover Greece

Greece is picturesque in every way. I traveled to Santorini solo and stayed in a hostel shared with three beautiful ladies, all solo travelers. Santorini welcomed me with beauty, calmness, and unforgettable experiences — white-washed houses, blue domes, dramatic cliffs, and sunsets that feel unreal. Every walk, every village, and every meal felt like living inside a dream.

Stories From Greece

Santorini Highlights Tour — Castles, Villages & Caldera Views

Pyrgos Village — Hilltop Castles & Panoramic Views

Our first stop was Pyrgos, a traditional village built on top of a hill. We walked to the summit where the Venetian castles overlooked the caldera, offering sweeping views across the island. The atmosphere was peaceful and ancient — a picture-perfect start to the tour.

Megalochori & Symposion — Mythology, Music & Greek Tradition

Megalochori is one of the most traditional villages in Santorini. Quiet streets, white houses, and hidden courtyards make it feel timeless. We also visited Symposion — a magical cultural experience featuring ancient Greek instruments, mythology, music performances, and creative workshops. It was artistic, soulful, and beautifully immersive.

Akrotiri — Southern Caldera Views

From Megalochori, we continued to Akrotiri, where the caldera views opened from the southern side of the island. The cliffs were dramatic and powerful, revealing the volcanic history that shaped Santorini.

Perivolos Beach — Black Sand, Sun & Serene Moments

We took a relaxing break at Perivolos Beach — a peaceful black-sand paradise. I met a local who shared travel stories, and we connected instantly. I enjoyed a delicious moussaka and even fell asleep on the beach chairs before continuing the journey.

Emporio Village — A Labyrinth of Beauty

Emporio felt like a secret world — narrow passageways, stone arches, hidden corners, and colorful doors. Every turn revealed a new postcard-perfect scene. Walking through this village was magical and peaceful.

Local Winery — Tasting the Flavors of Santorini

We visited an old winery surrounded by volcanic soil and unique local vines. Santorini’s wines are crisp and fragrant, shaped by the island’s strong winds and volcanic earth. It was a relaxing and delicious part of the journey.

Firostefani — Blue Dome & Skaros Rock

Firostefani is home to one of the most iconic blue-domed churches in Santorini. Nearby lies Skaros Rock — an imposing volcanic formation that once held a medieval fortress. The views were breathtaking.

Oia Village — Sunset Views & Greek Charm

The tour ended in Oia, known for its narrow lanes, cave houses, captain’s mansions, chapels, and world-famous sunsets. I ended my day at Oia Gefsis, sipping cocktails with new friends as the sun melted into the Aegean Sea.

Night Out in Fira — Cocktails, Views & Black Sands

In the evening, my new Greek friend took me to Nectar Lounge for cocktails overlooking the glowing Santorini skyline. We walked through Fira and ended the night on a silent black-sand beach — just us, the waves, and the night breeze.

Quadbike Adventures — Freedom on the Island

The next day, my dorm mate and I rented a quadbike and drove across the island. We visited Fira again, admired the views, and later rode to Akrotiri Beach. We ended our night at an open-air cinema watching Mamma Mia — the perfect movie for Greece.

Perissa Beach — Swimming, Lunch & Pure Relaxation

On my final day, we rode the quadbike to Perissa Beach, swam in the refreshing water, enjoyed a delicious lunch beside the sea, and slept on the beach chairs afterwards. It was peaceful and unforgettable.
